Cleaning of a Danube Shipwreck

We performed the surface cleaning of the "Csillag" shipwreck, which was recovered from the Danube, under highly complex conditions. These types of projects are rare and require extensive professional expertise – the wreck had been submerged for a long period, resulting in severe rusting, rot, and thick contaminant buildup.
Using our mobile, dustless blasting technology, we effectively removed water-induced damage such as old paint residues, corrosion layers, and decayed surfaces, while preserving the structural integrity and fine details of the hull.
The documented process shows a striking transformation – from heavily contaminated surfaces to clean metal, where a light flash rust soon appeared, signaling the surface's readiness for further treatment.
